Family Matters

The Family is a most important element to the ideals and goals of the Character Council. The Council’s greatest desire is to find innovative ways in demonstrating to each family of the citizenry of Gilchrist County, the importance of character, with moral character being a life-long quest.

It is the mission of the Character Council to reach each family with projects and items, which will keep character education in the forefront; projects like community service, especially to the widows, disabled veterans and disabled elderly and events such as an annual “Character Day Camp,” a “Fun Family Day,” a “Character Building Family Conference,, while  displaying character through the distribution of Achieving True Success books and bumper stickers, while wearing "Character First!" T-shirts. All to name a few.

In the years to come, it is the hope of the Character Council, to have every father and mother enthusiastically involved in some way with what the Council is about, “building character from the heart to the hearth to the community to the world.” Family matters to the Character Council and new members are always welcomed bringing their new and fresh ideas.
